This privacy policy applies to the Headroom app for Android devices (the “Application”), published on Google Play by Marco Gomiero (the “Service Provider”).
Summary
The Application has no server, no accounts of its own, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting. Everything it stores stays on your device. It talks only to the AI services that you choose to sign in to.
Information the Application handles
To show how much of your AI subscription limits you have left, the Application handles the following, only on your device:
- Sign-in credentials for the services you add. These are the access tokens, refresh tokens or API keys that a service gives the Application when you sign in. They are encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore, nothing the Application stores is included in device backups or device-to-device transfers, and they are sent only to the service they belong to.
- Account details returned by those services, such as the email address or user name and the plan of each account, so you can tell your accounts apart.
- Usage information, such as how much of each limit is used, when it resets, and the usage-limit resets available to you. The Application keeps a history of this information on your device to draw charts and statistics. Usage history is kept for 60 days and the history of used or expired resets for one year; older entries are deleted automatically.
- Your settings, such as theme, colours, widget choices and alerts.
The Service Provider never receives any of this information. It is not sold, shared or used for advertising.
Network requests
The Application connects directly from your device to the services you sign in to (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, xAI, Z.AI, Moonshot AI, OpenCode and JetBrains), to sign you in and to read your usage. Each service handles those requests under its own privacy policy. When you sign in through a browser, the sign-in page belongs to that service.
Permissions
- Internet, to reach the services you sign in to.
- Notifications, to tell you when a limit resets, when a reset is about to expire, or when a sign-in has expired.
- Alarms and starting at boot, to check for a reset at the right time, even after the device restarts.
- Display over other apps (optional, off unless you turn it on), to draw the experimental reset island. It shows an animation only and reads nothing on screen.
Deleting your data
You can remove an account in the Application at any time, which deletes its credentials. Uninstalling the Application, or clearing its storage in Android Settings, deletes everything it stored. Because the Service Provider holds no data about you, there is nothing else to delete. To delete your account with an AI service, contact that service.
Children
The Application is not directed at children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
Data protection laws, including the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA, give you rights over your personal data. As the Service Provider does not collect or hold personal data about you, requests to access or delete it will find none, but you are welcome to ask at mgp.dev.studio@gmail.com.
Changes
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are posted on this page. This policy is effective as of 2026-10-10.
